  • Mundipharma’s innovation and continued support of start-ups in Singapore’s pharmaceutical industry was highlighted

27 October 2017, Singapore – Mundipharma is one of companies featured by the Singapore Tourism Board in its Progressor film, that seeks to showcase Singapore’s vibrant business landscape and never settling spirit in creating possibilities. Thus, Mundipharma was selected for its efforts in advancing the medical technology field in Singapore and for choosing Singapore as its emerging markets headquarters. CEO, Mr. Raman Singh, was recognized as a captain of industry.

Since Mundipharma established Singapore as it’s emerging market headquarters in 2011, Mundipharma has become the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in emerging markets – achieving approximately 40% year-on-year growth. Under Mr. Singh’s leadership, Mundipharma has significantly expanded its operations, both in terms of geographies and number of employees. Mr. Singh paid tribute to the Singaporean government’s foresight to create a business hub as a key reason for Mundipharma’s success.

“While most other countries focus on roadmaps which look 5-10 years in the future, Singapore remains exceptional for its ability to project 20 years and beyond to ensure its continued prosperity,” Mr. Singh said. “This resonates strongly with what we strive to achieve at Mundipharma and given its commitment to promoting a pro-business environment, we believe that the country is poised for strong growth as a biomedical hub.”

With a strong belief that technology can be leveraged in the medical sciences to improve the overall well-being of humanity, Mundipharma has been at the forefront of introducing solutions which seek to bring together the latest in technology and the medical sciences. For example, the company released an app called Breatherite™ in April 2017 which utilizes smartphone camera and AR technology to help inhaler users improve upon their inhaler technique.

Aiming to bring its unique blend of healthcare and lifestyle to the masses, the company regularly partners with major sports clubs, such as Manchester City Football Club, and athletes to spread its message of “Healthcare for the Human Race.” It also regularly looks for opportunities to collaborate with Government and other businesses, including up-and-coming startups. In 2018, the company will also be unveiling a new state-of-the-art healthcare hub in Singapore, featuring a robot-heavy environment where its R&D, product development and manufacturing facilities will be married under one roof.
